God never said the weapons wouldn’t form. He said they wouldn’t prosper. Let me repeat that: He never said they wouldn’t form, He said they wouldn’t prosper.
This is awesome news right?
We know that in our world, things will happen. Situations change, people change, and sometimes people will turn against you. There are times when you find yourself in situations that you don’t understand. It seems like you are doing the right things, and that you are doing your best, but nothing seems to work out. We keep trying and trying in our own power to correct the things that feel like they are out of control, but the issue is that we can’t do it in and of ourselves. We don’t have the strength or ability, but most of all we normally can’t see beyond where we are or how the current circumstances fit into the grand scheme of eternity and what God’s plan is for us. What I mean by that is we get so caught up in the weapons forming against us in the first place, that we forget that we’ve been promised that they won’t prosper. We get so caught up in the rent being due, that person lying about us, someone betraying us, or failing at something that we forget to pray. We get so caught up in the circumstances that we forget we have weapons of our own to go into combat with.
I am not saying that the problems or issues you face aren’t real and you should not be concerned. However, what I am saying is that your Heavenly Father emboldened you before the foundations of the world to combat much of what you face through Him and His strength.
“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” Luke 10:19
Go back a year ago. Remember that situation you were in that you went into full panic mode on? Did the panic help? Did the striving help? No, it didn’t. I am sure that it didn’t change much other than making your blood pressure go up. However, once you calmed down enough, you could think through your situation and pray about it, and come up with a solution. Once again, in the heat of the moment we don’t think about that. There is only so much that we can do in order to stand firm. Once we have done everything that we can do, in Ephesians chapter 6 we are commanded to put on the “full armor of God” so that we can contend with the enemy and not fall prey to his schemes. The scripture continues that the battle we face is not with flesh and blood, but with authorities and evil forces in the spiritual realm.

Sword of the Spirit
The sword of the spirit is the word of God. Hebrews tells us that that the word of God is alive and active. It is sharper than any two edge sword and able to divide flesh from spirit, thoughts and intents of the heart.
The sword entrusted to us is more than ancient; it is eternal. Our sword is not attached to an isolated victory… The Word of the Living God has proven itself true time and time again. – Lisa Bevere Girls With Swords
